An interesting case of Bottled Water Labeling.
A Bottled water company which labeled their bottled water as “Spring
Water” was being bottled from a water source consisting of a well at a
facility next to a hazardous waste site. After news of this became public, a
testing of the water showed it contained contamination from industrial
solvents. Unfortunately, it was later determined that the labeling as Spring
Water was not misleading because the water at times did come to the surface on
its own at an unpaved area near the parking lot of the facility.
The facility was eventually closed.
(How many people drank that bottled water before the facility closed?)
